Recycling drop-offs can be made during regular store hours at the merchandise pick-up entrance.
Recycling Center Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday:  1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Closed: Wednesday and Sunday
Recycles most electronics, large appliances and small appliances (e.g., computers, hair dryers, microwaves, toasters,
humidifiers),cardboard, paper, white polystyrene (styrofoam), batteries, wood pallets and industrial plastic packaging
material. There might be a small charge on TVs depending on the size. Please bring your recyclables to the Recycling
Center, the freestanding building located just west of the main building. Abt does not accept glass, light bulbs including
Christmas lights, cd/dvd/vhs tapes, and styrofoam peanuts.

Best Buy Haul-Away and Pickup
Best Buy will remove and recycle large appliances for a $14.99 per unit fee when a replacement appliance is delivered by
Geek Squad or Best Buy Delivery. A stand-alone pickup without buying a replacement appliance at Best Buy is $99.99.

Accepts appliances in good working condition only. Also accepts bicycles, clothing, household goods, tools, musical
instruments (no pianos or organs), books, working television sets (flat screens only), working computers and flat screen
monitors (must be complete units and less than 5 years old), and furniture in good condition (no rips, stains or pet hair).
Not all stores accept all items (e.g., TVs). Call (773) 477-1300 for questions about acceptable donations or to schedule
bulk pickups.

In addition to disposing of refuse and debris, residents may drop off white goods such as refrigerators, washers and dryers
on a fee per item basis. Call or visit the website for pricing and additional information.
The Glenview Transfer Station is located on the east side of Des Plaines River Road, just north of Central Road, directly
across the street from the Maryville Academy.

Zealous Good
Connects people with items to donate with local charities that need them. Fill out form describing type of donation online.
Zealous Good emails donor about which charities need those items and provides dropoff information or pickup scheduling
directly with the charity.
Reminder: Arrange for pickup of old appliances with the store before the purchase of new appliances. Many retailers will
remove them free of charge at the time of the delivery. Many haulers and scrap dealers will pick up appliances, but most
assess fees for the service.
